On February 17, 2026, an online seminar was held to strengthen trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kenya. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kenya with the support of national development institutions and business organizations.

The seminar brought together representatives of the Kazakhstan and Kenya business communities, as well as the relevant government agencies. Among the participants was the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, which delivered a presentation on the potential for bilateral cooperation and business support mechanisms.

During her speech, Madina Yesdauletova, Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of the Chamber, presented the report entitled “The Potential for Trade and Economic Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kenya: Facilitation Mechanisms of the Chamber of International Commerce.” The presentation highlighted the current level and dynamics of Kazakhstan-Kenya relations.

The presentation also provided information on the growth of trade turnover since the beginning of cooperation between the two countries: by the end of last year, bilateral trade had increased by more than 20 percent.

Particular attention was paid to Kazakhstan’s competitive advantages, including access to the unified market of the Eurasian Economic Union, a developed transport and logistics infrastructure, strong transit potential, and abundant natural resources.

In addition, the presentation outlined promising areas for cooperation: the export of Kenyan tea and coffee with the possibility of creating a hub in Kazakhstan for subsequent re-export to Central Asian countries and the EAEU; the use of Kenyan ports as logistical routes for supplying Kazakh products to African markets; and the development of cooperation in agribusiness, logistics, ICT, fintech, and education.

A separate part of the presentation was devoted to business support instruments. The Chamber presented its capabilities in organizing B2B meetings, business forums, exhibitions and fairs, business councils, as well as supporting investment projects through digital platforms and arbitration mechanisms.

“Kazakhstan is ready to improve economic partnership with Kenya. Our Chamber stands ready to support business contacts, investment projects, and cooperation between our countries,” noted Madina Yesdauletova.

Participation in the seminar enabled the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan to present a systematic approach to supporting foreign economic activities and to emphasize its role as an institutional platform for the development of international cooperation.
