The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Held a Meeting with the Japanese Delegation

A working meeting was held in Astana between representatives of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan (CICK), the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” and a delegation from Japan, which included representatives of the business and expert communities.

From the CICK side, Alisher Darkembayev, Deputy Director of the Commercial Activity Department, took part in the meeting. From “Atameken,” Darkhan Sagynbekov, Deputy Director of the Manufacturing Industry Department, participated.

The Japanese delegation included:

• Tsumio Hatsukade, General Director, Japan Development Institute Ltd;

• Akira Shibasaki, Business Development Director, International Division, Fitech Co., Ltd;

• Gennady Redkin and Assel Karataeva, Programme Coordinators of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Kazakhstan;

• Kenji Kusama, Consultant, Japan Development Institute Ltd.

During the meeting, the Japanese delegation expressed interest in the activities of “Atameken” and asked several clarifying questions. Specifically, the parties discussed the role, powers, and areas of interest of the Chamber, the procedure for product registration in Kazakhstan, the estimated registration timelines for products such as Forest Defender, and the need to involve a local business partner to enter the market.

In the context of these discussions, the relevance of fire safety solutions was highlighted. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly emphasized that combating wildfires is a vital task that requires modern approaches and technological solutions.

Fitech offers a wide range of advanced developments, including innovative fire suppression systems, which gives the company strong potential for entering the Kazakhstani market and contributing to the modernization of the country’s fire protection infrastructure.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in establishing a partnership and expressed their readiness to continue exchanging information and engaging in practical cooperation on the discussed matters.
