Today in Astana, within the framework of the Business Forum “Economic Integration and Cooperation of the OTS Countries: New Opportunities in Industry, Agriculture, Logistics and Digitalization,” a closed meeting of the heads of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) was held.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” Kanat Sharlapayev, TCCI Secretary General Adem Kula, President of the Turkic Investment Fund Bagdat Amreyev, as well as heads and representatives of chambers of commerce and industry from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States.
The meeting was moderated by the Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Murat Karimsakov. Opening the meeting, he noted that today’s discussion is intended to consolidate the transition “from formal intentions to concrete institutional decisions.”

During the meeting, participants discussed the implementation of the protocol decisions adopted at the previous TCCI meeting held on February 20, 2026, in Turkestan, as well as the further development of the Union’s official website and information exchange among member chambers.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of decisions adopted at previous General Assemblies in Baku and Astana, including the establishment of the Logistics Committee and the Young Entrepreneurs Committee.
President of the Turkic Investment Fund Bagdat Amreyev presented a brief informational report on the Fund’s projects for 2026 aimed at supporting joint economic initiatives and developing investment cooperation among the OTS countries.

The key issue on the agenda was the further enhancement of TCCI. Participants discussed the preparation of international documents necessary to grant the Union the status of a full-fledged international organization, as well as the establishment of a permanent working body of TCCI.

“Today’s agenda is dictated by the need for a profound transformation of our Union. We have gathered to exchange relevant ideas and proposals. Our goal is to adopt concrete, systemic decisions that will define the institutional landscape of TCCI in the long term,” noted Kanat Sharlapayev.
As part of the discussion, participants also considered issues related to the formation of a full-fledged Secretariat staff for TCCI, ensuring sustainable financing for the Union’s activities in 2026, and further strengthening cooperation among the chambers of commerce and industry of the Turkic states.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further developing economic integration, expanding business cooperation, and promoting joint initiatives in industry, agriculture, logistics, and digitalization.
