Head of the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan Met with the Chargé d'Affaires of Portugal
Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Atameken NCE Murat Karimsakov held a meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of Portugal José Ataide Amaral. During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between the countries, as well as broad opportunities for expanding interaction and partnership in the current conditions were discussed.
The representative of Portugal noted that their side is also interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan and local businesses.
"Kazakhstan is a very large country and has a very large market. In addition, it is also important for us that Kazakhstan is part of the Eurasian continent, and this in turn opens up a wide range of opportunities for Portuguese companies," said Chargé d'Affaires of Portugal José Ataide Amaral.
The head of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, in turn, emphasized that for effective interaction between the businesses of both countries, it is important to collect information about Portuguese companies that would be interested in investing in Kazakhstan and finding partners from among local companies.
"For its part, the Chamber of Intenational Commerce of Kazakhstan is ready to become the main service partner, providing access to the Kazakh and global markets on a one-stop-shop basis," added Murat Karimsakov.
He also added that the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs is the largest business association in the country, which is actively working to ensure a stable and predictable tax regime. The Chamber is also working to improve the judicial system, and in general, to create a fair business environment in Kazakhstan. Modernization of legislation and ensuring a high-quality fiscal regime increases business confidence and affects the level of foreign investment attracted to the country.
"We are also reviewing the strategy for interaction with foreign investors. In cooperation with the government, we are developing an interactive investment map and a digital register of investors and investment projects for each region. We propose the creation of master plans and their implementation through a single digital platform, which will ensure transparency of processes and control over the implementation of investment programs," said Murat Karimsakov.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation to establish long-term and mutually beneficial business ties between Kazakhstan and Portugal.
