Atameken NCE RK Took Part in the Meeting of the Board of the CICA Business Council
On May 25, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the online meeting of the Board of the Business Council of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
During the meeting, participants discussed the priority areas of the CICA Business Council for 2026, issues related to strengthening practical cooperation among member states, as well as preparations for the 9th meeting of the CICA Business Council and the 11th CICA Business Forum. Representatives of Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Russia, and Thailand participated in the event.

On behalf of Atameken NCE RK, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Atameken NCE RK, Murat Karimsakov, delivered remarks. In his speech, he congratulated the CICA Secretariat on its upcoming 20th anniversary, highlighting the organization’s contribution to strengthening multilateral cooperation among Asian states.
Murat Karimsakov also emphasized the importance of involving international and regional institutions, including financial organizations, in discussions on promoting small and medium-sized businesses across the CICA space. According to him, this would enrich discussions with high-quality expert assessment and help develop new approaches to entrepreneurship development.
Special attention during the speech was given to the digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses. On behalf of the National Chamber, it was proposed to include the issue of SME digitalization in the agenda of the CICA Business Council as one of the priority areas for further cooperation. As Murat Karimsakov noted, Kazakhstan, drawing on its significant experience in digital reforms and the implementation of innovative solutions, is ready to make a practical contribution to advancing this agenda within the framework of the Council and the CICA Business Forum.
In addition, the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the National Chamber supported the initiative of CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay to continue discussions on key issues, including digitalization and women’s entrepreneurship.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further develop cooperation in supporting small and medium-sized businesses, expanding business ties, and promoting joint initiatives within the CICA framework.
