On May 22, 2026, a presentation of Japanese companies specializing in decarbonization and environmental protection technologies was held in Astana with the participation of Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike. The event was organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government jointly with the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan. The platform brought together representatives of government institutions, businesses, and Japanese companies to discuss prospects for cooperation in sustainable development, the implementation of green technologies, and joint projects.

As part of the program, presentations were delivered by Japanese companies Aeronext Inc., SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corporation, ZEPHYR CORPORATION, SORAMITSU CBDC, and Revo International Inc., showcasing solutions in drone technologies, solar and wind energy, carbon credits, and bioenergy. Participants discussed the potential for introducing these technologies to the Kazakhstani market, as well as opportunities for further expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, Murat Karimsakov, who emphasized the importance of technological partnership and sustainable development.

“We highly appreciate the visit of representatives of leading Japanese companies to Kazakhstan and their interest in exploring the investment potential of our country, as well as opportunities for implementing joint projects in the field of sustainable development and green transformation,” he noted.

According to the head of the Chamber, Japan’s experience in innovation, energy efficiency, environmental solutions, and project management is of significant interest to Kazakhstani businesses and can contribute to the introduction of advanced technologies, increased efficiency of production processes, and the development of a sustainable economy.

Special attention during the event was also given to the development of direct business contacts. The program included networking and B2B meetings aimed at establishing practical cooperation between Kazakhstani and Japanese companies. As part of the networking session, welcoming remarks were also delivered by Sabr Yesimbekov, Co-Chairman of the Kazakhstan-Japan Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan will continue to promote the development of international business partnership, support export-oriented businesses, and create new opportunities for implementing joint projects with foreign partners.
