Kazakhstan and Sichuan Province Develop Trade and Economic Relations

On October 17, 2025, in Astana, a meeting was held between the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the delegation of Sichuan Province of the People’s Republic of China.

The Chinese delegation included representatives of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Sub-Council (CCPIT Sichuan), as well as SICHUAN BUGE SHOES CO. LTD, SICHUAN PHEEOU INTERNATIONAL LEATHER PRODUCTS CO. LTD, and Sichuan Honk Network Technology Co. Ltd.

From the Kazakh side, the meeting was attended by Alisher Darkembayev, Director of the Department of Commercial Activities of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of JSC “NC Kazakh Invest” and JSC “QazTrade”.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation, establish joint ventures, and promote investment projects in the fields of logistics, agricultural processing, digitalization, and the green economy.

Alisher Darkembayev noted that Sichuan Province is one of China’s key economic centers with high export potential and emphasized the importance of establishing direct connections between entrepreneurs of the two countries: “Sichuan is a region with strong industrial and technological potential. I am confident that developing cooperation between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Sichuan will open new opportunities for joint projects, technology exchange, and access to third-country markets within the framework of the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative.”

During the meeting, the parties noted the significant potential for interaction between Kazakhstan and Sichuan Province and expressed their interest in developing direct contacts between entrepreneurs of both countries.

Following the talks, the participants reaffirmed their readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and further expand economic ties.
