The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Supports Business Ties Between Kazakhstani and Ukrainian Companies
On 22 October, the Astana Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” hosted a Kazakhstan–Ukraine roundtable entitled “Prospects for Developing Bilateral Cooperation in the Agro-Industrial Sector and Related Industries.”
One of the priority areas of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan is organising B2B meetings — tailored negotiations between Kazakhstani and foreign companies. These meetings are an effective tool for establishing direct business contacts, finding new partners and concluding export contracts. The meeting with the Ukrainian delegation provided a platform to discuss business proposals and opportunities for industrial and technological cooperation.
Participants included Kanat Alin, Director of the Astana Chamber of Entrepreneurs; Rostyslav Korobka, Vice President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Tryfon Antov, President of the Odesa Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and representatives of government agencies, development institutions, industry associations and business communities from both countries.
The roundtable was moderated by Madina Yesdauletova, Deputy Director of the Commercial Activities Department of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan. Opening the meeting, she highlighted the importance of sharing practical experience and maintaining direct dialogue between entrepreneurs.

“Today, we have come together to get to know one another better, exchange experience and discuss possible areas of joint work. Ukraine has extensive experience in agriculture, plant breeding, agricultural technologies and processing, and we are certainly interested in learning more about the practical proposals of our Ukrainian colleagues,” said Madina Yesdauletova.
Kanat Alin, Director of the Astana Chamber of Entrepreneurs, delivered welcoming remarks. He outlined prospects for cooperation in agricultural machinery manufacturing, including establishing joint production facilities, localising equipment production and developing service centres. Other areas included plant breeding and seed production, the introduction of agricultural technologies, agricultural processing, storage and logistics.
“For its part, the Astana Chamber of Entrepreneurs, as part of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs system, is ready to help establish direct business contacts, identify partners and further advance promising initiatives. I am confident that the experience accumulated by Ukrainian enterprises and the potential of Kazakhstani businesses provide a sound foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation. Above all, today’s meeting should lead to more than new acquaintances: it should result in specific agreements and projects that deliver practical value to entrepreneurs in both countries,” Kanat Alin emphasised.
The panel discussion featured Talgat Bakenov, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Olzhas Akhmetbekov, Managing Director and Head of Country Analysis and Investor Targeting at Kazakh Invest JSC; Samat Seilov, a representative of the Agro-Industrial Complex Department of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs; and representatives of specialised agricultural associations from Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation included Ukrvetprompostach, Lad and MirAgro Group, the All-Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Plant Breeding, TBF Holding, MNS Group, Veles Agro LTD and VIVAgro Trade. Company representatives presented their activities and proposals for partnerships with Kazakhstani businesses.
Participants discussed opportunities for investment cooperation, the technical modernisation of the agricultural sector and the introduction of solutions adapted to Kazakhstan’s natural and climatic conditions. Particular attention was paid to developing processing activities and manufacturing products with high added value.
At the close of the meeting, entrepreneurs exchanged contact details to continue discussing proposals and establish direct business ties. The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan will continue to facilitate the search for foreign partners and support practical cooperation between companies from the two countries.
