Kazakh Businesses Present Cooperation Opportunities at a Business Meeting in Urumqi
A Kazakhstan–China business meeting took place in Urumqi, bringing together representatives of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, the International Chamber of Commerce of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC), and entrepreneurs from both countries. Held on 19 October 2026, the event focused on developing direct business ties, identifying partners and discussing joint projects.
Madina Yesdauletova, Deputy Director of the Commercial Activities Department, addressed the meeting on behalf of KazCIC. She highlighted the potential for Kazakhstan–China cooperation in industry, energy, processing industries, logistics and investment, emphasising the importance of moving from trade relations towards joint production and the local deployment of technologies.

“We have come not only to explore the opportunities offered by the Chinese market, but also to present Kazakhstan as a reliable partner, a promising investment destination and an important link in international industrial cooperation,” she said.
The Kazakh delegation brought together representatives of industry, construction, agriculture, food production, trade, logistics, healthcare, finance and investment. Participants included enterprises involved in electrical works, building materials, agricultural machinery and equipment, and industrial waste processing.

The agricultural and food sector was represented by companies and farms engaged in crop production, livestock farming, dairy production, fish and wool processing, and food manufacturing. The delegation also included representatives of international trade and rail logistics, as well as suppliers of medical and veterinary equipment.
Kazakh entrepreneurs were interested in finding suppliers of modern equipment and technologies, buyers for Kazakh products, investors and partners for joint projects. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for establishing joint manufacturing operations and localising production in Kazakhstan.

Madina Yesdauletova stressed that tangible economic outcomes should be the primary focus of this work. “I firmly believe that the effectiveness of international cooperation should be measured not by the number of meetings held or documents signed, but by real economic results: enterprises established, investment attracted, technologies introduced and new jobs created,” she said.
The meeting featured company presentations and business negotiations between enterprises from both countries. Participants discussed opportunities for mutual supplies and promising areas of cooperation.
The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan stands ready to facilitate further communication between Kazakh and Chinese companies and support promising joint initiatives.
