The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Held a Meeting with the Delegation from Shanxi Province (PRC)

On July 25, 2025, a working meeting took place in Astana between representatives of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and a delegation of enterprises from China’s Shanxi Province.

From the Kazakh side, the meeting was attended by Alisher Darkembayev, Deputy Director of the Commercial Activity Department of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.

The Chinese delegation included Gao Jingyu, Honorary Director of the Shanxi Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Chief Representative of the Yuncheng Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the Lilon Gui Grande investment group (China), Sun Pengfei, Chairman of the Board of Shanxi Huihua Building Materials Co., Ltd., Li Zesheng, Chairman of the Board of Jinrun Trading Co., Ltd., Hejin, Li Tao, General Director of Jinrun Trading Co., Ltd., Hejin, and Zhang Jijiang, Deputy General Director of Jinrun Trading Co., Ltd., Hejin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the mining industry, including the possibility of creating joint ventures and introducing modern raw material processing technologies, investment opportunities for Chinese companies in mineral extraction projects, including cooperation formats such as concessions, offtake agreements, and public-private partnerships, relocation of mechanical and primary processing facilities to Kazakhstan and leveraging the advantages of the country’s industrial zones and transport infrastructure, development of trade and economic cooperation through cross-border e-commerce, establishment of logistics hubs and joint production, forms of state support for Chinese investors provided through the "one-stop shop" system, and successful cases of Chinese companies operating in Kazakhstan, including localization, technology transfer, and infrastructure investment.

The parties expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation and continuing dialogue on the discussed areas.
