The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Participated in the Termez Dialogue on Connectivity between Central and South Asia

On May 19–21, 2025, the International Trade Center in the city of Termez (Uzbekistan) hosted an international dialogue on connectivity between Central and South Asia, focused on the development of regional cooperation, peace, and sustainable prosperity.

Representing the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, Member of the Board and Chief of Staff Assan Zhakishev took part in the event.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of strengthening business ties, developing logistics chains, and supporting the region’s export potential:

“For Kazakhstan, as a major exporter and transit country, it is especially important to ensure reliable and accessible routes for both exporting products abroad and importing essential goods. Solving logistics challenges will support our entrepreneurs and make the region more attractive for investment,” said Assan Zhakishev.

He also stressed the significance of dialogue between governments and the private sector, as well as the need for a comprehensive approach to overcoming logistical and trade barriers. As part of his address, Assan Zhakishev outlined the work of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs in promoting international cooperation, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, implementing export programs, and advancing investment projects.

Special attention was given to the development of transport and logistics hubs, process digitalization, cooperation with financial institutions, and the formation of a favorable business environment in the region.

The participation of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan in the Termez Dialogue continues efforts to strengthen regional connectivity and support integration processes between the countries of Central and South Asia.
