The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Took Part in the Kazakhstan–Kenya Business Forum

Kazakhstan and Kenya discussed new areas of trade and economic cooperation during the Kazakhstan–Kenya Business Forum held on May 20 in Astana, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto. The event brought together representatives of government agencies, business communities, development institutions, and профильных organizations from both countries.

The forum served as a platform to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation, trade development, logistics, digital infrastructure, and investment interaction. As part of the event, B2B meetings, thematic panel sessions, and a ceremony for the exchange of signed documents were held.

The official opening of the forum featured welcoming remarks from representatives of Kazakhstan and Kenya, including Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Ospankulov, Director General of the Kenya Investment Authority John Mwenda, and Vice President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mustafa Ramadhan.

As part of the business agenda, panel sessions were held on strengthening trade relations between Kazakhstan and Kenya through fintech tools and digital infrastructure, as well as on transport and logistics systems as drivers of trade and investment. Representatives of government bodies, development institutions, and businesses from both countries took part in the discussions.

A separate key outcome of the forum was the ceremony for the exchange of signed documents between профильные institutions of Kazakhstan and Kenya. In particular, documents were exchanged between the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI).

 

The Kazakhstan–Kenya Business Forum became an important step toward strengthening business dialogue, expanding direct contacts between entrepreneurs, and enhancing trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kenya.
