

The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Discussed Prospects for Cooperation with the Chinese Delegation

A meeting was held in Astana between representatives of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA) and the Council on the Macroeconomic Journal under the National Development and Reform Commission of China, and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
From the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, the meeting was attended by Diana Zhakutova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, and Madina Yesdauletova, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Activities.
The Chinese side was represented by executives of industrial and investment companies operating in logistics, agriculture, mechanical engineering, energy, and innovative technologies.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation: expanding mutual supplies of industrial and agricultural products, opportunities for localization of Chinese companies’ production in Kazakhstan, and the development of industrial parks and special economic zones. Particular attention was given to joint projects in the fields of the “green economy,” digital technologies, educational exchanges, and the development of transport corridors within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Madina Yesdauletova noted: “Today’s meeting symbolizes the deepening of cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and the agreements reached at the China–Central Asia Summit. Kazakhstan is ready to be a reliable partner and to contribute to the successful implementation of joint initiatives that will strengthen economic cooperation and open new horizons for development.”
As a result of the dialogue, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing practical cooperation and establishing long-term partnerships.
