Today, the Kazakhstan–Turkey Business Forum was held in Astana with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Representatives of government agencies, business circles, and industry associations from both countries took part in the event.

As part of the forum, the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”, Kanat Sharlapayev, delivered a speech highlighting the high level of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, and emphasizing the need to move from traditional trade toward deep industrial cooperation and technological interaction.

During the speech, key areas for further cooperation were outlined. These included localization of production and technology transfer, creation of joint production chains, development of cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, as well as strengthening interaction in logistics and transport infrastructure within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Special attention was paid to the potential of Kazakhstan’s special economic and industrial zones as platforms for the implementation of joint investment projects.

The Head of the National Chamber also emphasized the historical and cultural closeness of the two countries, noting that trust and the principles of fair partnership remain an important foundation of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye. A practical continuation of the discussed initiatives was the signing ceremony of a Memorandum between the NCE RK “Atameken” and the Turkic Investment Fund, as well as a Memorandum between TCCI, the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, and the National Association of Cooperatives and Other Forms of Economic Community of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NACOFEC).

“Kazakhstan and Türkiye have reached a level of interaction where simple trade in finished goods should give way to deep technological connectivity. We are building business not on one-time transactions, but on the principles of ‘brotherhood in action,’ where the long-term success of a partner is just as important as our own,” Kanat Sharlapayev emphasized.

Within the framework of the business forum, business representatives of the two countries discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, implementation of joint projects in industry, the agro-industrial complex, logistics and infrastructure, as well as strengthening business ties between the entrepreneurial communities of Kazakhstan and Türkiye.
