Nurlan Zhanbatyrov Appointed Member of the Management Board – Chief of Staff of The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan
On 3 September 2026, Nurlan Arunovich Zhanbatyrov was appointed Member of the Management Board – Chief of Staff of The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
Nurlan Zhanbatyrov was born in 1985. In 2007, he graduated from L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with a degree in International Relations, and in 2010, from the Kazakh University of Humanities and Law with a degree in Economics.
He began his professional career in 2007 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the years, he worked in the Department of Pan-European Cooperation, the OSCE Department, the Department of Europe, the Committee for Foreign Policy Analysis and Forecasting, and the Committee for International Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He has experience in diplomatic service abroad. He served as Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Canada and First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Armenia. During his diplomatic career, he worked on international cooperation, foreign policy analysis, information and image-building activities, consular and protocol matters, as well as the organization of official visits and events.
He subsequently worked at KazakhExport Export Insurance Company JSC, progressing from Expert to Director of the Department of International Cooperation. He was involved in promoting Kazakhstan’s exports and establishing the company’s representative offices abroad. He also held senior positions in commercial organizations, where he was responsible for corporate development and the organization of business processes.
Prior to his appointment to The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, he worked as a Consultant for the Organization of International Events at Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan JSC.
In his new role, Nurlan Zhanbatyrov will oversee the activities of the Office of The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and coordinate its internal organizational processes and interaction among structural divisions. His professional experience will contribute to improving the Chamber’s operational efficiency, enhancing its management system, developing international cooperation, and implementing projects aimed at supporting Kazakhstani businesses in foreign markets.
