Kazakhstan and China Discuss Cooperation in Landscape Architecture and Urban Greening

On 31 August 2026, the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with a delegation from the People’s Republic of China comprising representatives of specialized industry associations and companies engaged in landscape architecture, environmentally sustainable urban improvement, and greening technologies.

The Kazakh side was represented by Alisher Darkembayev, Director of the Commercial Activities Department of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.

The Chinese delegation was led by Bian Dongyu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, and Sun Qiang, President of the Landscape Architecture Chamber of Shaanxi Province. The delegation also included executives of specialized associations, technology companies, and design firms from various regions of China.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in landscape design, urban greening, and the creation of an environmentally sustainable urban environment. Particular attention was paid to modern greening technologies, the design and implementation of landscape projects, the application of innovative environmental solutions, and the exchange of professional expertise between specialists from the two countries.

The participants considered opportunities to establish direct contacts between Kazakh and Chinese companies, exchange advanced technologies and practical solutions, and implement joint projects in the improvement of public spaces and the development of green urban infrastructure.

The meeting provided an important platform for professional dialogue and helped identify promising areas for further cooperation between industry representatives from Kazakhstan and China.
