Murat Karimsakov Participates in the Kazakhstan–Belarus Business Council Meeting in Minsk
On October 1, 2026, Minsk hosted a meeting of the Kazakhstan–Belarus Business Council attended by Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, and Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Kazakh delegation comprised companies operating in mechanical engineering, agribusiness, logistics, information technology and services. Participants included AgromashHolding KZ, Baiterek National Investment Holding, Global Beverages, BELOSTAN.KZ, RailSolution, D.B Logistics and others. The meeting focused on developing industrial cooperation, strengthening direct business ties and addressing practical aspects of implementing joint projects.
In his opening remarks, Murat Karimsakov highlighted the Business Council’s role as a permanent platform for cooperation between entrepreneurs from the two countries.
“The Republic of Belarus is our reliable, strategic and time-tested partner within the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS. Today, we have a clear task: not simply to maintain the level of trade already achieved, but to enhance its quality and substance,” he emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to industrial cooperation. The Chairman of the Board of KazCIC noted successful examples of the joint assembly of MTZ, Gomselmash and MAZ machinery in Kazakhstan and outlined opportunities to increase local content and advance technology transfer.
The proposed areas of cooperation included developing complete knock-down assembly of agricultural machinery and commercial trucks, manufacturing components at Kazakh enterprises, and implementing joint projects involving electric passenger transport and specialized municipal vehicles. The potential for jointly manufacturing products for export to Central and South Asian markets was also highlighted.
Murat Karimsakov identified practical issues requiring joint efforts, including transport and logistics constraints, technical and regulatory barriers, and difficulties with financial settlements and banking support for foreign trade contracts. Proposed solutions included digitalizing the exchange of transport permits, optimizing multimodal routes, simplifying conformity assessment procedures, and making greater use of development institutions’ financing and insurance instruments for joint projects.
The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan presented proposals to expand targeted B2B missions involving visits to production facilities and industrial zones in both countries, establish a register of practical business barriers for consideration at meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission, and create a permanent advisory center jointly operated by KazCIC and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support joint investment projects.
The meeting’s business agenda also covered financing imports of Belarusian goods and the role of Baiterek Holding in international cooperation. B2B negotiations at companies’ exhibition stands were included in the program for business representatives from both countries.
The Business Council meeting concluded with a signing ceremony for agreements totaling approximately USD 80 million. The signed documents provide for deliveries of meat and dairy products to Kazakhstan in 2027 under agreements between Brest Meat Processing Plant, Molochny Mir and BELOSTAN.KZ; a project to manufacture rubber flooring in Kazakhstan between BORKOF-AGRO and OptimTech; technical cooperation and an exchange of expertise between the BAZ Group and KSP Steel; and the development of cooperation between Belarusian Steel Works and KSP Steel. In addition, trade agreements were concluded between ERCM and Astana Motors for the supply of Kazakh-made commercial vehicles, and between Zavod Bulbash and Kazakh Trade House for the supply of Kazakh alcoholic beverages. Spetszhelezobeton and TemirWay also signed a partnership agreement covering market research, product promotion and sales.
The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan’s participation in the Business Council aims to expand opportunities for Kazakh entrepreneurs, develop industrial cooperation and facilitate mutually beneficial projects with Belarusian partners.
