Cypriot Delegation Visited Kazakhstan to Establish Direct Business Contacts

On September 23, 2025, a meeting was held in Astana between representatives of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan (KazCIC) and the delegation of the Successful Business Leaders Club (SBL Club, Cyprus). The Cypriot delegation included owners and executives of companies representing corporate finance, investment, law, consulting, the beauty and health industry, as well as international business communications.
From the KazCIC, the meeting was attended by Diana Zhakutova, Director of the International Cooperation Department, and Madina Yesdauletova, Deputy Director of the Commercial Activities Department. Employees of the Business Regulation Department of the NCE RK “Atameken” were also present at the meeting.
The Cypriot delegation arrived in Kazakhstan to explore opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation, establishing direct business contacts, and implementing joint projects. During the negotiations, prospects for expanding cooperation were discussed in areas such as exchange of professional expertise and partnerships between legal and consulting companies, attracting investments and creating joint funds, distribution and production of goods (including EU-compliant cosmetics), as well as organizing business missions and participating in international exhibitions and forums.
Particular attention was paid to the work of the Commercial Activities Department of the KazCIC, which is one of the key structures of the Chamber. The Department provides Kazakhstani and foreign companies with access to modern tools of international trade and cooperation, consulting on foreign economic operations, certification and logistics, as well as support in the use of ATA Carnet for temporary import and export of goods. In addition, the department actively organizes B2B and B2G meetings, facilitates business participation in government and grant programs, and assists companies in entering international markets.
At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized the high potential for further cooperation. For Cypriot companies, Kazakhstan opens access to the dynamically developing market of Central Asia, while for Kazakhstani enterprises, Cyprus can serve as a reliable bridge to the European and Mediterranean regions. The parties expressed their intention to continue joint work and develop practical mechanisms for strengthening business ties between the two countries.
