

Kazakhstan Participates in the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit

On July 4, Assan Zhakishev, Member of the Board and Chief of Staff of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, took part in the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), held in the city of Khankendi, Azerbaijan.
The forum was chaired by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and brought together the heads of state and government of ECO member countries, including: President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, as well as ECO Secretary General Asad Majid Khan and heads of delegations from other countries and regional organizations.
The participants discussed current international and regional issues, as well as ways to further enhance multilateral cooperation within the framework of the Organization.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov expressed his appreciation for the high level of organization of the ECO Summit in Khankendi. “Holding the summit in Khankendi symbolizes Azerbaijan’s commitment to peaceful development, stability, and cooperation. This is an important step towards strengthening regional dialogue. Brotherly Azerbaijan holds a prominent position in the economic landscape and ranks among the leaders in key areas of development,” he stated.
The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan will continue to strengthen cooperation with ECO member states to promote sustainable economic growth, enhance regional integration, and implement joint initiatives for the benefit of the entire region.
