Kazakhstan and Jordan Discussed New Opportunities for Cooperation at the Business Council Meeting

On August 19, 2025, the 4th meeting of the Kazakhstan–Jordan Business Council was held online. The event was organized by the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Jordan. The Business Council brought together representatives of government bodies and the business community of both countries, providing an opportunity to discuss new areas of trade and economic cooperation.

With a welcoming address, Chairman of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Murat Karimsakov highlighted the importance of expanding business contacts and expressed confidence that the meeting would become an important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations:
"Jordan is a strategically important partner of Kazakhstan in the Middle East. Our countries are united by strong ties of friendship, mutual respect, and partnership. Today’s meeting is not just another step in our joint efforts, but also an important milestone in the development of trade and economic cooperation. I am confident that the dialogue between the business communities will open new opportunities for mutually beneficial projects."

On the Jordanian side, the welcoming speech was delivered by Senator, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Khalil Mohammad El-Haj Tawfiq. The meeting also saw the participation of representatives from the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the Amman Chamber of Commerce, the Jordan Logistics Association, the Date Producers Association, and the Tourism Committee of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce.

From the Kazakhstan side, participants included representatives of “Kurt Med Service” LLP (pharmaceuticals), Kusto Logistics, Astana Business Aviation, the Association of Maritime Transport Entrepreneurs (logistics), the Scientific and Production Center of Fisheries LLP (agriculture), JSC “NC Kazakh Tourism”, the National Association of the Tourism Industry, and Arala Travel (tourism).

During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals, trade and logistics, the agro-industrial complex, and tourism were discussed. Special attention was given to the development of joint projects, diversification of export-import operations, and the expansion of direct contacts between entrepreneurs.

As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen the partnership by developing cooperation in key sectors of the two countries’ economies.
