Kazakhstan and Lithuania: A New Wave of Business Cooperation

Murat Amrin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of NCE Atameken, made a welcoming speech, noting the importance of developing bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Lithuania. According to him, the Business Council has become an important platform for discussing issues related to investments and trade.
"Our Business Council is actively promoting investment development between the two countries, as this dialogue platform should develop and bring only positive solutions for both countries. We have been actively working for many years to increase the trade turnover and transit potential of our countries," Murat Amrin said.
He also noted the success of the visa policy, which will have a positive impact on transit traffic and improve conditions for Kazakhstani drivers and businessmen.
In turn, Julius Skackauskas, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and logistics. He noted the successful restoration of the Kazakhstan-Lithuanian Business Council and the importance of developing the Trans-Caspian route.
"We see great potential in connecting the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) with the Trans-Caspian route. Lithuania supports the initiative to develop this route, which will help strengthen economic cooperation between our countries and promote international multimodal transportation," the speaker added.
Skackauskas also recalled Lithuania's role as a key transport hub in the region, mentioning the deep-water port of Klaipeda and the developed railway network, which can become important for further strengthening transport links between Kazakhstan and Europe.
The meeting ended with B2B negotiations, where business representatives from the two countries discussed specific projects and ways of cooperation.
