Escalation in the Middle East and logistics disruptions: the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan ready to confirm force majeure
The escalation of the situation in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf is increasing risks for international trade and logistics chains, affecting transportation, delivery timelines, and the fulfillment of contractual obligations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has previously noted the rising tensions in the region and called on the parties to resolve the situation through diplomatic means. The ministry also pointed out the impact of ongoing developments on transport connections.
“Due to the continuing hostilities in the Middle East, as well as the closure of airspace in most countries of the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly recommends that citizens of Kazakhstan refrain from traveling until the situation fully stabilizes,” the foreign policy ведомство said in a statement.
Restrictions on movement and changes in transport routes may affect the fulfillment of international contracts. In this regard, the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan reminds participants in foreign economic activity of the possibility of obtaining certificates confirming the occurrence of force majeure circumstances.
The Chamber emphasizes that the timely documentation of such circumstances is important for protecting business interests and preventing contractual disputes with foreign partners.
