The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Took Part in the Presentation Meeting of the “Silk Way Asia” Digital Platform

On September 26, 2025, representatives of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan participated in a meeting organized by SW Asia Trade LLP in Astana, dedicated to the launch of the next-generation B2B digital marketplace Silk Way Asia for business interaction.

Within the framework of the event, and in the context of business councils’ activities, the key advantages of the platform for the development of digital trade, mechanisms for supporting exporters and importers, as well as plans for scaling the project to international markets were presented.

It was particularly noted that the Silk Way Asia pilot project is being successfully implemented in Turkmenistan, and work is currently underway to expand it to the markets of China, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The implementation of the project is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to increase the country’s trade turnover and strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as a key player in regional and global trade.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. G. Sagituly, Deputy Akim of Alatau City, and JSC Kaztrade. The parties positively assessed the development of digital initiatives in the field of foreign economic activity and considered the possibility of signing cooperation memorandums.

The participation of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan emphasized the strategic importance of the Silk Way Asia initiative as a tool for strengthening trade and economic cooperation, supporting exporters and importers, and shaping a modern Digital Silk Road.
