Representative of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan took part in the seminar “Modern China: Questions and Answers”

On April 10, 2026, an expert seminar titled “Modern China: Questions and Answers” was held in Astana, посвященный the outcomes of the 2026 “Two Sessions” and the prospects for the development of cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia.

The event was organized by the Center for China Studies and brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, the academic community, as well as government and business circles.

Madina Yesdauletova, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Activities of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, took part in the seminar.

During the event, key areas of the socio-economic development of the People’s Republic of China, priorities of state policy, as well as new opportunities for expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan, China, and Central Asian countries were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the following issues:
— strengthening regional cooperation;
— development of foreign economic relations;
— expanding business participation in international supply chains;
— implementation of joint investment and infrastructure projects.

Participation of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan in such expert platforms contributes to deepening institutional dialogue, shaping a relevant agenda for engagement with Chinese partners, and promoting the interests of Kazakhstani business in the international arena.

As a result of the event, new business contacts were established, and promising areas for further development of cooperation and implementation of joint initiatives were identified.
