The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
On April 17, 2026, a meeting was held in Astana between Diana Zhakutova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, and Konstantinos Moraitidis, First Vice President of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Hellenic Republic) and President of “MorelSteel”.
Opening the meeting, Diana Zhakutova noted that the visit of the Greek delegation holds significant practical importance for expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Greece. She emphasized that despite the positive dynamics of bilateral trade, there remains substantial potential for further development through the implementation of concrete projects, the expansion of transit routes, and the strengthening of business ties.
It should be noted that, within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry and The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
The signed document is aimed at developing bilateral interaction and предусматривает the expansion of exchange of economic information, including data on commercial and business activities, investment regulations, export opportunities and import needs of the parties.
The parties agreed to exchange experience and information in the field of business support and training, facilitate mutual visits of delegations and the organization of bilateral meetings between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Greece, as well as provide mutual support in organizing trade exhibitions, specialized expositions, fairs, conferences and round tables in both countries.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening direct contacts between business communities and establishing sustainable mechanisms of interaction.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop partnership, implement joint initiatives, and strengthen trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and the Hellenic Republic.
