The XIV International Foreign Investment Fair was held in Beijing
The 14th International Foreign Investment Fair, dedicated to the theme "New Investment Opportunities in Eurasia in the Era of Global Change", organized by the Chinese Association for Overseas Development, has ended today in Beijing. The Kazakh delegation, led by Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Atameken Raimbek Batalov, took part in the investment forum with business representatives from China and a number of foreign countries.
The fair was attended by President of the Chinese Association for Foreign Development He Zhenwei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to China Shakhrat Nuryshev, Chairman of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Murat Karimsakov, heads of Kazakhstani companies, business associations and investment funds. In total, the event was attended by more than 2,200 Chinese and foreign business representatives from 96 countries, as well as ambassadors from 23 countries and 196 diplomats.
The event promotes the deepening and expansion of investment cooperation between the states, promotes the implementation of bilateral investment agreements, as well as the search for international economic and trade opportunities.
Chairman of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Murat Karimsakov stressed that such a large-scale event aimed at familiarizing with investment opportunities in foreign countries is held annually. This year, Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia became one of the most honored guests of this conference.
"We have held a number of meetings with representatives of major investment funds and companies in China to demonstrate investment projects and opportunities in our country. At these meetings, we provided up-to-date information on investing in various sectors of the economy and regions of Kazakhstan.An agreement was signed on the sidelines of the forum, which enables the largest Chinese company HENAN ZHENGZHOU MINING MACHINERY CO., LTD. to invest in the modernization of the Tulkubassky lime plant in the South Kazakhstan region," Murat Karimsakov said.
It is important to note that more than 2,300 companies with Chinese capital are successfully operating in Kazakhstan today, including large corporations such as CNPC, CITIC, NFC, SINOPEC, HUAWEI and others.
The volume of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and China increased by 22% in 2023, which indicates the development and strengthening of economic ties between the two countries. The event also played an important role in expanding cooperation within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative.
