Preparatory Meeting for the Kazakhstan–Japan Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation Held at "Atameken" NCE RK
On 1 July 2026, a working meeting dedicated to preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Kazakhstan–Japan Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held at the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" in Astana.
The meeting was attended by Sabr Yessimbekov, Co-Chairman of the Kazakhstan–Japan Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation; Diana Zhakutova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan; and a delegation of Marubeni Corporation led by Mr. Satoru Ichinokawa, Managing Executive Officer and Member of the Corporate Management Committee. The delegation also included Mr. Toshiaki Hato, Regional CEO for the Middle East and Central Asia and Managing Director of the Dubai Office; Mr. Mitsuaki Arito, Assistant General Manager of the Global Planning & Coordination Department; and Mr. Ippei Shinozaki, General Manager of the Astana Representative Office.
During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Kazakhstan–Japan Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation, including organizational matters, the development of the business agenda, and coordination of cooperation between the Kazakh and Japanese partners.
Following the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint preparations for the upcoming Committee meeting and expressed their mutual interest in further strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan.
