On April 15–16, 2026, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a working visit of Serik Amirov, Special Representative of The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan in ASEAN countries, took place in Da Nang. As part of the visit, a round table was organized with the participation of the leadership of the Vietnam National Entrepreneurship Association (VINEN) and representatives of the Vietnamese business community.

During the discussions, it was noted that 2026 represents a “golden age” for Vietnam’s investment market, with expert assessments indicating the formation of a more sustainable investment cycle.

For reference: The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a leader among ASEAN countries in terms of GDP growth. In the first quarter of 2026, the country’s economic growth reached 7.83%. A key target has been set to achieve a GDP per capita of USD 8,500 by 2030. Small and medium-sized enterprises form the backbone of the national economy, currently accounting for approximately 95% of all active enterprises, contributing nearly 50% of GDP, around 30% of total state budget revenues, and generating about 40% of total employment.

During the round table, Serik Amirov noted that under current conditions Kazakhstan has significant potential to position itself as a “B2B Bridge” in the Central Asian region for establishing joint production and distribution of goods.

The discussion was attended by companies such as IPC – Investment Promotion Center for Central Vietnam, VIDANANG, Bridgent, Song Hoai Ceramics Co., Ltd, Dong Dinh Art Museum, Lingble, and others.

In turn, VINEN Chairman Dinh Viet Hoa emphasized the importance of experience exchange and market exploration. In particular, the Vietnamese side expressed strong interest in Kazakhstan’s experience in establishing the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), as well as cooperation with the local International Financial Centre VIFC-HCMC launched on February 11, 2026, along with developments in economic digitalization and artificial intelligence. He also proposed organizing joint educational programs based at universities in Kazakhstan.

According to Le Minh Zon, Director of the Investment Promotion Center “IPC Central Vietnam”, such meetings and business missions provide an effective platform for more targeted and systematic interaction between the business communities of the two countries.

At the same time, Harley Huynh, Head of the digital innovation company Bridgent, expressed readiness to support experience exchange and the scaling of Kazakhstani IT projects in the Vietnamese market.

As a result of the discussions, agreements were reached to further develop joint projects in the fields of garment and footwear production, fruit processing, tourism, digitalization, education, logistics, and others. In addition, the parties agreed to prepare and sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Vietnam National Entrepreneurship Association (VINEN).
