

Kazakhstan-China Business Forum Held in Astana: Eight Strategic Agreements Signed
The Kazakhstan-China Business Forum took place in Astana, bringing together more than 80 representatives of the business communities from both countries. The forum focused on strengthening trade and economic cooperation, engaging businesses in joint projects, and expanding investment partnerships.
The event was organized by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, "Atameken," in collaboration with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
As part of the forum, the China Supply Chain exhibition was held, where Chinese companies showcased their products and solutions.
Chairman of the Board of "Atameken" NCE Raimbek Batalov emphasized that 2025 will be a key year for the development of investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. He noted that Kazakhstan provides a favorable environment for foreign investors by ensuring a stable tax system and a fair business climate.
"China is one of Kazakhstan’s largest trading partners and ranks among the top five investors in our economy. To enhance international cooperation, we have developed the National Digital Investment Platform. Currently, it features 886 projects worth $77 billion, enabling the rapid attraction of foreign investments and real-time monitoring of project implementation," said Batalov.
During the forum, it was announced that a meeting of the "China–Central Asia" Business Council will be held ahead of the Summit of Heads of State in June. The Chinese delegation also highlighted the significance of 2025, officially declared the Year of China in Kazakhstan, which will create new opportunities for joint projects.
Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ren Hongbin, emphasized the strong business ties between the two countries and proposed key areas for further cooperation, including:
- Expanding bilateral trade
- Attracting new investments
- Enhancing supply chain logistics
The event concluded with the signing of eight strategic agreements, aimed at strengthening partnerships in industry, logistics, and investment.
Additionally, the Chinese delegation introduced the China International Expo (CIE), which will serve as a key platform for promoting products and technologies between Kazakhstan and China.
Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, Murat Karimsakov, stated that the initiatives discussed at the forum are aimed at expanding trade, developing industrial production, and introducing advanced technologies in Kazakhstan.
"We see significant interest from Chinese businesses in cooperation, which opens new opportunities for Kazakhstan’s economic growth," Karimsakov noted.
