The 38th Meeting of the Foreign Investors’ Council Held in Astana
On 2 July 2026, Kanat Sharlapaev, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”; Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan; and Sabr Esimbekov, Co-Chair of the Kazakhstan–Japan Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation, took part in the 38th plenary meeting of the Foreign Investors’ Council.
The meeting was chaired by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and brought together heads of government agencies, representatives of international organizations, the diplomatic corps, major foreign companies and the business community.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the digital transformation of the economy, the development of artificial intelligence technologies, the introduction of modern digital solutions, the improvement of the investment climate, the attraction of strategic investments, the development of modern infrastructure, and the strengthening of cooperation between the state and international business.

A number of documents aimed at implementing new investment projects were signed on the sidelines of the event. In addition, representatives of international companies and financial institutions confirmed their interest in expanding investment cooperation with Kazakhstan, noting the stability of the investment climate and the consistent work of the state to create favorable conditions for doing business.
The participation of the leadership of the National Chamber and KazCIC in the meeting of the Foreign Investors’ Council reflects their commitment to further developing constructive dialogue between the state, domestic business and foreign investors, as well as to supporting the implementation of joint projects aimed at the country’s sustainable economic development.
