Prospects for Cooperation with Chinese Construction and Technology Companies Discussed in Astana
On August 24, 2026, KazCIC held a meeting with a delegation of Chinese construction and technology companies at the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”. The meeting on the Kazakh side was led by Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Board of The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the Kazakh side became acquainted with the activities of the Chinese companies, their technologies, products, and potential areas of operation in the Kazakhstan market. The delegation brought together enterprises operating in construction, the production of construction and finishing materials, façade, window and door systems, industrial flooring, intelligent engineering systems, architectural lighting, and energy-efficient technologies.
The companies represented included Shanghai Aotong Building Materials Technology Co., Ltd., China Chemical Shuguang Construction Co., Ltd., Shengweiya (Shanghai) Building Materials Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shubai Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Juyi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Ronglin Holding Group Co., Ltd., Anhui Deyu New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xiangyao Flooring Engineering Co., Ltd., and Changzhou Qingmu Automatic Door Co., Ltd.

The companies presented solutions in the areas of construction and finishing materials, comprehensive interior design, general construction contracting, intelligent engineering systems, energy-saving technologies, glass and façade structures, industrial coatings, and automatic door systems.
The parties discussed opportunities for the supply and localization of construction and finishing materials in Kazakhstan, the establishment of joint ventures, technology transfer, and the training of Kazakh specialists. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for Chinese companies to participate in construction, municipal, infrastructure, and industrial projects, as well as to the introduction of solutions for intelligent and energy-efficient buildings.
The talks also covered the search for Kazakh partners among developers, contractors, manufacturers, design organizations, and distributors, as well as product certification, compliance with quality and safety standards, and the organization of warranty and after-sales services. The parties discussed holding follow-up B2B meetings and exchanging specific commercial and investment proposals.
Murat Karimsakov emphasized that the Kazakh side is interested not only in importing finished products. Priority areas include localization of production, establishment of joint ventures, technology transfer, training of local specialists, and the establishment of service centers. Particular interest is given to projects involving the use of Kazakh raw materials and components, reduced energy consumption, shorter construction periods, and improved quality of facility operation.
The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan is ready to assist in identifying reliable Kazakh partners, organizing targeted negotiations with developers, contractors, manufacturers, and distributors, as well as further elaborating localization opportunities and supporting the practical entry of Chinese companies into the Kazakhstan market.
