Murat Karimsakov Participated in Business Meetings and an International Conference in Bishkek

On September 23–24, 2026, Murat Karimsakov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” and Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, paid a working visit to Kyrgyzstan, where he held meetings with representatives of the business community and addressed an international scientific and practical conference.

On September 23, meetings were held with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz Union of Entrepreneurs. The parties discussed preparations for the next meeting of the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan Business Council, scheduled to take place by the end of this year. Particular attention was paid to shaping the business agenda of the upcoming meeting and engaging representatives of the two countries’ business communities.

The participants also considered prospects for further developing trade and economic cooperation, expanding direct contacts between Kazakh and Kyrgyz entrepreneurs, implementing joint projects, and strengthening cooperation between business associations.

On September 24, Murat Karimsakov addressed the international scientific and practical conference “The Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic: Outcomes of the 35-Year Journey and Strategic Priorities,” held in Bishkek. The conference was organized by the Research University “Musa Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University.” Its main objective was to provide a comprehensive academic and practical assessment of the results and key stages of the Kyrgyz Republic’s economic development over 35 years of independence, as well as to discuss current challenges and strategic directions for the country’s further socioeconomic development.

The opening ceremony and plenary session featured representatives of government agencies, the academic and expert community, higher education institutions, and international organizations. The speakers included First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev, Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulzat Isamatova, State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Sergey Glazyev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev, Professor Tolobek Kamchybekov, as well as scholars and experts from countries across the region.

In his remarks, Murat Karimsakov noted the high level of trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, based on mutual trust, good-neighborly ties, and close economic cooperation. He emphasized that the two countries have considerable potential to further expand mutual trade, develop industrial cooperation, and implement joint projects.

According to him, direct dialogue between entrepreneurs plays an important role in this process, helping identify promising areas of cooperation and develop practical solutions to the challenges faced by businesses.

The conference program covered a broad range of topics, including strategic development, enterprise economics, the banking sector, tourism, environmental protection and the green economy, international and national law, and digital transformation.

The visit continued the systematic engagement between the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan’s business associations and marked an important stage in preparations for the next meeting of the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan Business Council.
