Kazakhstan and Pakistan Strengthen Economic Partnership

On October 9, 2025, at 12:00, a regular online meeting of the Kazakhstan–Pakistan Business Council was held. The Pakistani side was represented by Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, First Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI); Mehmood ul Hassan Awan, Chairman of the Pakistani part of the Business Council; and Rizwana Qazi, representative of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in Almaty.
From the Kazakh side, the meeting was attended by Diana Zhakutova, Acting Chairperson of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan; Daniyar Altaev, Representative of the Chamber in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; as well as representatives of Kazakh companies including Optima Development, KSEP, Law Firm “KORGAN”, KAZAGRO-PRO, and others.
In their opening remarks, FPCCI representatives emphasized the importance of developing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and expressed their intention to increase mutual trade turnover to USD 1 billion.
The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan confirmed its readiness to support Kazakh and Pakistani business communities in strengthening trade and economic cooperation and underlined the importance of maintaining and expanding business ties between the two nations.
As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain regular contact between the external trade chambers of the two countries and to continue dialogue aimed at promoting joint initiatives.
It is noted that this online meeting was not the first: interaction with the Pakistani side has been carried out on a regular basis. Thus, on September 29, 2025, Diana Zhakutova and Kanat Alin, Advisor to the Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” held a meeting with a Pakistani business delegation.
