Kazakhstan and Estonia Strengthen Business Cooperation: Memorandum Signed Between Chambers of Commerce
On 17 November 2025, as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Estonia to Kazakhstan, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The document was signed by Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, and Oliver Veertnöu, Chairman of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of the Republic of Estonia Alar Karis.
The Memorandum aims to expand mutually beneficial trade, economic and scientific cooperation, develop business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries, and facilitate the organization of joint events, exchange of delegations and promotion of investment initiatives.
The signing of the document was part of high-level bilateral negotiations, during which the Heads of State reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership. In his welcoming remarks, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: “We consider Estonia one of our very important strategic partners, and we hold great respect for the history, traditions and culture of the Estonian people. I am very pleased that our relations continue to develop consistently.”
The signing of the Memorandum represents an important step towards deepening the Kazakhstan–Estonia partnership and opens new prospects for business cooperation and institutional rapprochement between the two countries.
