Tourism, information technology and artificial intelligence, agribusiness, energy, mining, construction, and logistics were identified as promising areas for cooperation.
For his part, Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas emphasised that the Sultan of Oman’s state visit to Kazakhstan opens up new prospects for economic relations and cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries. He encouraged Kazakh entrepreneurs to view Oman as a logistics and trading hub providing access to markets in South Asia, East Africa, and other regions. Recognising Kazakhstan’s achievements in the digital economy, the head of the Omani chamber expressed interest in cooperation in digital services and technologies, as well as food security, grain supplies, and logistics development.

In tourism, opportunities include attracting investment and sharing expertise in the development of hotel and resort infrastructure, ecotourism, and coastal areas. The technology sector offers scope for joint initiatives in digitalisation and high-tech projects.
Agribusiness occupies an important place in bilateral cooperation. Kazakhstan has the potential to expand supplies of grain, organic products, and meat products to the Omani market. Other promising areas include establishing joint processing facilities and developing agricultural logistics infrastructure.
In energy and mining, partnership opportunities include geological exploration, advanced processing of raw materials, and infrastructure development. The participation of Omani businesses in construction and infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan offers further prospects.

The parties also explored opportunities for transport and logistics cooperation aimed at expanding bilateral trade and ensuring reliable supplies between the two countries.
Following the meeting on 5 October, an Agreement on the Establishment of the Kazakhstan–Oman Business Council was signed between Atameken and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The signing of documents of this level between the business institutions of Kazakhstan and Oman took place for the first time in 12 years, giving the occasion particular significance and marking a new stage in bilateral business relations. The exchange of signed documents is scheduled for 6 October in the presence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Sultan of Oman.
The Business Council is intended to serve as a permanent platform for engagement between entrepreneurs from the two countries, the organisation of B2B meetings, and the development of joint projects. Atameken stands ready to facilitate these contacts and support business initiatives.
