On May 11, 2026, the Kazakhstan–Brazil Business Round Table was held in Astana with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mauro Vieira. The event was attended by Alisher Darkembayev, Director of the Commercial Activities Department of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.

The round table served as a platform for discussing the prospects for the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil, expanding business ties, and strengthening interaction between the business communities of the two countries.

During the event, participants discussed increasing bilateral trade turnover and developing cooperation in the fields of agro-industrial complex, industry, logistics, energy, and foreign trade. Particular attention was paid to creating favorable conditions for business and promoting joint projects.

Speaking at the round table, Alisher Darkembayev noted the significant potential for bilateral cooperation and emphasized the role of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan in developing international business relations. “Brazil is Kazakhstan’s largest trading partner in Latin America. Today, we see strong interest from businesses in expanding cooperation, finding new partners, and implementing joint projects. The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan is ready to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs — from organizing B2B meetings and partner searches to supporting foreign trade activities and promoting products in international markets,” he noted.

Within the framework of the round table, representatives of government agencies, business associations, and companies from both countries discussed promising areas of cooperation, as well as mechanisms to support export-oriented businesses and attract investment.

Following the event, the parties confirmed their interest in further strengthening Kazakhstan–Brazil cooperation and expanding direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
