Afghan companies visit Kostanay with support from the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan
On October 8, Kostanay hosted “After the Harvest. AgroSeason 2026,” bringing together representatives of 10 Afghan companies. The programme included an exhibition and B2B negotiations.
The delegation comprised major Afghan importers, primarily from Herat Province, as well as from Kabul and Kandahar Province. Herat is one of the key markets for grain and flour producers in the Kostanay Region.
The visit was organised by Arman Yessentayev, Representative of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan (KazCIC) in Afghanistan, jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kabul and in cooperation with the Atameken Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Kostanay Region, under the coordination of the regional administration and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the visit was to facilitate direct business ties between Kazakh grain and flour producers and Afghan buyers.

During the event, five contracts worth a total of USD 55 million were signed. These included contracts worth USD 40 million for the supply of wheat and other agricultural products between the Kazakh company KAZ NAN GROUP and the Afghan company Ensaf Ansar Flour Production Ltd; WORLD KARWAN LLP and Haji Nazar Mohammad Haji Abdul Ahad Co Ltd; and HARVEST-KST LLP and Khan Zaland Trading Company. A further USD 15 million in flour supply contracts were signed between QA Flour Product LLP and Ahmad Kamawal Trading Company LTD, and between Kaztorgtrans LLP and Wahid Tamim Azizi LTD Co.
The visit was organised as part of the implementation of the Roadmap to increase trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan to USD 3 billion, as well as the intergovernmental agreements reached during the Kazakh government delegation’s visit to Kabul in June this year, including those aimed at expanding business cooperation with Herat Province.
Establishing direct contacts between Kazakh producers and Afghan buyers creates additional opportunities to increase grain and flour supplies and conclude new export contracts.
