

The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Discussed Prospects for Cooperation with the Delegation of Sichuan Province (PRC)

On October 5, 2025, in Astana, the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the delegation of Sichuan Province of the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese side included representatives of leading industrial, construction, and technology companies, as well as educational institutions of the region.
From the Kazakh side, the meeting was attended by Kanat Alin, Adviser to the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” and Alisher Darkembayev, Director of the Department of Commercial Activities of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan. Representatives of Kazakhstani business also participated, including the company “Stalzinc,” enterprises from the education and construction sectors, as well as representatives of Astana Invest.
During the talks, the parties discussed ways to expand business contacts, establish joint ventures and localize production, as well as measures to promote investment projects between Kazakhstan and Sichuan Province. Special attention was paid to the exchange of experience in the fields of innovation, educational programs, and technological cooperation.
Kanat Alin expressed interest in expanding business ties with this region of China, emphasizing the high potential for cooperation in industrial production, logistics, and education.
Summarizing the meeting, Alisher Darkembayev, Director of the Department of Commercial Activities of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, stressed that the systematic development of interregional contacts plays a key role in strengthening economic partnership between Kazakhstan and China.
“We are pleased to strengthen ties between Kazakh and Chinese companies. The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan is open to cooperation and ready to assist partners in finding reliable contacts, supporting projects, and developing export potential. We hope that today’s meeting will mark the beginning of new joint initiatives,” said Alisher Darkembayev.
Following the talks, both sides confirmed their intention to continue cooperation through business missions, B2B meetings, and sectoral forums aimed at strengthening partnerships and developing long-term cooperation between Kazakhstan and Sichuan Province.
