The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.

On June 9, 2025, as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kazakhstan, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The document was signed by Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Murat Karimsakov and member of the Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Stanislav Novakov in the presence of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev.

The memorandum is aimed at expanding mutually beneficial trade, economic and scientific cooperation, developing business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries, as well as facilitating the organization of joint events, the exchange of delegations and the promotion of investment initiatives.

The signing of the document became part of the bilateral high-level talks, during which the heads of state confirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership. In his opening speech, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: "Bulgaria is one of Kazakhstan's most important partners in Europe, with whom we have deep political and economic ties. Our bilateral cooperation demonstrates stable dynamics in various fields. This is reflected in a trusting political dialogue, fruitful inter-parliamentary cooperation, dynamic growth of trade and investment, people-to-people contacts and mutual support in the international arena."

It should be noted that the signing of the Memorandum was an important step towards deepening the Kazakh-Bulgarian partnership and opened up new prospects for business cooperation and institutional rapprochement between the two countries.
