Kazakhstan–Oman Business Forum Oman–Kazakhstan Business Gateway Held in Almaty

On October 27–28, 2026, Almaty hosted Oman–Kazakhstan Business Gateway, an international business event aimed at expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Sultanate of Oman.

The event took place at Swissôtel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman. Asia Food Forum served as the organizer, while the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan acted as the local partner.

The business mission brought together 22 Omani companies and approximately 100–150 representatives of Kazakhstan's business community. The main objective was to establish direct contacts between manufacturers, exporters, importers, and distributors from both countries, as well as to develop new areas of bilateral trade.

The official program included sector-specific roundtable discussions, presentations on the trade and economic potential of both countries, and bilateral B2B negotiations.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the food industry, agriculture, fish products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, construction materials, industrial manufacturing, logistics, and trade.

As the local partner, the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan facilitated the participation of domestic businesses and supported the organization of business interactions between Kazakhstani and Omani companies.

During the B2B meetings, business representatives discussed prospects for product supplies, distribution arrangements, expanding export opportunities, and implementing joint manufacturing projects.

Following the business mission, memorandums of understanding were signed in the fields of food production, technology, innovation, and logistics. The agreements reached provide a foundation for further development of commercial projects and the strengthening of business ties.

Oman–Kazakhstan Business Gateway marked a continuation of intensified bilateral cooperation following the state visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to Kazakhstan on October 5–6, 2026.

The Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan will continue to facilitate direct business contacts, promote export-import operations, and support joint initiatives aimed at strengthening the long-term economic partnership between Kazakhstan and Oman.
