Kazakhtani Businessmen Held B2B Talks with Pakistani Companies in Karachi

The second international food and agriculture exhibition "FoodAg-2024" was held in the financial capital of Pakistan from August 9 to 11 this year. At the invitation of the Pakistan Trade Development Authority, a delegation from Kazakhstan arrived at the event, including entrepreneurs active in the fields of agriculture, beverage production, logistics, trade and catering services, as well as a representative of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.

The exhibition featured leading Pakistani producers of agricultural and food products, as well as logistics companies, whose products, technologies used and services the delegation got acquainted with.

The delegates participated in seminars on topical issues related to international certification of goods, customs regulation, logistics and regional interconnectedness, dairy production, as well as opportunities in aquaculture and horticulture.

Kazakhtani businessmen held B2B talks with Pakistani companies to establish mutual trade cooperation and implement joint projects.

In addition, representatives of the Kazakh delegation, together with the co-chairman of the Kazakhtan-Pakistani Business Council, Mehmood ul Hassan Awan, visited the modern container terminal in the seaport of Karachi, Karachi Gateway Terminal Limited, discussing with representatives of companies the prospects for using the seaport's capabilities.

Later, the delegates took part in an interactive session organized by the largest state logistics company National Logistics Cell, where they were informed about the companies' capabilities and available transport and logistics routes.

According to the members of the Kazakh delegation, Pakistani products are of great interest to our region and may be in high demand among ordinary consumers.

Pakistan's agricultural sector accounts for about 24% of GDP, providing 37% of jobs in the country. IRP is a leading exporter of mangoes, rice, guava, dates, citrus fruits, potatoes, etc.
