

Kazakhstan and Pakistan strengthen business ties: a business forum was held in Karachi
Karachi, April 28, 2025 — Within the framework of the 13th meeting of the Kazakh-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission, held from April 28 to 29, a business forum was held with the participation of more than 500 representatives of business circles and government agencies of the two countries.
The Kazakh delegation was headed by Marat Karabayev, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister of Trade of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, led the Pakistani delegation. The event was also attended by the representative of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan in Pakistan, Daniyar Altayev.
In order to actively promote Kazakh-Pakistani cooperation, the Chamber of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan organized in advance the participation of a target business delegation, which included 11 companies. The result of the work was the signing of a memorandum between the Kazakh company Optima Development and a Pakistani manufacturer for the supply of fermented milk products to Kazakhstan in the amount of about 10 million US dollars.
The agreements reached became part of the final agreements of the business forum, confirming the high interest of the parties in developing a mutually beneficial trade and economic partnership.
