On November 5, 2025, the 5th Meeting of the Kazakhstan–Belarus Business Council was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the theme “Kazakhstan – Belarus: Industrial Cooperation, Prospects, and New Opportunities.”

The meeting brought together representatives of leading companies from Kazakhstan and Belarus. Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Co-Chairs of the Business Council — Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, and Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

In their speeches, both sides emphasized that the Kazakhstan–Belarus Business Council has become an important platform for developing industrial cooperation, agricultural partnership, and technology exchange. The Belarusian side included representatives of leading enterprises such as MAZ, LIPLAST-SPb, Sifaniya-Ecotechnika, Beltelekabel, and others. The Kazakh side was represented by AgromashHolding KZ JSC, Prodcorporation NC JSC, the Farmers’ Association of Kazakhstan, KAIK LLP, Kazakhstan Agro-Innovation Corporation LLP, among others.

During the meeting, it was noted that from January to July 2025, the mutual trade turnover between the two countries exceeded USD 612.2 million, an increase of 14.5% compared to the same period last year. Kazakhstan’s exports to Belarus rose by 48%, reaching USD 158 million, while imports of Belarusian products grew by 5.9%, totaling USD 455 million. The steady growth of Belarusian imports demonstrates a high level of trust and demand for Belarusian goods in the Kazakh market.

Currently, more than 900 enterprises with Belarusian participation operate in Kazakhstan, including 192 joint ventures, of which 151 are active, reflecting the openness of both economies and a high level of business integration.

“Investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus shows positive dynamics. The gross inflow of direct foreign investment from Belarus to Kazakhstan from 2005 to the first half of 2025 amounted to USD 1.3 billion. In the first half of 2025 alone, Kazakhstan attracted USD 17.5 million, which is 32.6% more than in the same period of 2024. At the same time, direct investments from Kazakhstani investors into Belarus during this period amounted to USD 106.1 million,” noted Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.

The work of the Kazakhstan–Belarus Business Council plays a key role in facilitating direct business dialogue, experience exchange, partner search, and joint project implementation. The Council contributes to developing proposals for the Intergovernmental Commission and strengthening industrial cooperation.

As part of the meeting, a signing ceremony of 11 documents took place, aimed at expanding industrial and trade cooperation, with a total value of USD 38.6 million. Among them: A Cooperation Agreement between BelCCI and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan in the field of exhibition and fair activities; A Specification to the contract for the supply of MAZ vehicles in 2026; A Supply Agreement for engines between Trading House of Minsk Motor Plant LLP and Minsk Motor Plant Holding, among others.

The official part of the meeting concluded with B2B negotiations, where representatives of both countries’ business communities expressed their commitment to developing joint projects in mechanical engineering, agriculture, logistics, and industrial engineering.
